(Summary description)Oxidative stress refers to the excessive production of highly active molecules in the body such as reactive oxygen free radicals (ROS) and reactive nitrogen free radicals (RNS) when the body is subjected to various harmful stimuli, and the degree of oxidation exceeds the scavenging of oxides. The oxidative system and the antioxidant system are out of balance, leading to tissue damage.

At present, the most researched probiotics that can relieve oxidative stress are lactic acid bacteria, bifidobacteria and clostridium butyricum. Among them, Clostridium butyricum is an anaerobic probiotic that exists in the intestinal tract of animals. Its role in relieving oxidative stress is mainly reflected in the following four aspects:

1. Microbial characteristics

Clostridium butyricum reduces inflammation and related oxidative stress by regulating the intestinal microecological balance, body and intestinal immune function, and inhibiting the growth of intestinal pathogenic bacteria.

2. Antioxidant enzymes

Clostridium butyricum can synthesize and produce antioxidant enzymes such as superoxide dismutase (SOD) and NADH/NADPH oxidase, which can effectively remove excess oxidative free radicals in the body, thereby achieving the effect of alleviating oxidative stress.

3. Hydrogen

Clostridium butyricum can produce hydrogen by anaerobic fermentation of carbohydrates. Recent studies have shown that hydrogen can act as an antioxidant by selectively scavenging free radicals released from the body. It has been widely used in various medical researches. Hydrogen is an important physiological regulator with antioxidant, Anti-inflammatory and anti-apoptotic effects.

4. Butyric acid

As an energy substance, butyric acid can promote the proliferation of colonic crypt cells, thereby continuously removing senescent cells on the surface of the intestinal cavity. This change has a very important effect on the homeostasis and renewal cycle of colon cells, thereby reducing the damage of oxidative stress; Ding Acid can inhibit histone deacetylase activity, and then reduce the amount of ROS in the body; butyric acid can significantly increase human colonic mucosa glutathione (GSH), and its content can improve the antioxidant capacity of human colonic mucosa. At the same time, Hamer and other studies also found that butyric acid may play an anti-oxidant effect by influencing enzymatic (SOD) and non-enzymatic (GSH) antioxidants and repairing the DNA system.

Summary:

From the above, it can be concluded that Clostridium butyricum not only has a strong intestinal regulation ability, regulates intestinal health, promotes digestion and absorption, but also has a strong ability to relieve oxidative stress, and provides higher quality livestock and poultry to ensure the health of livestock and poultry.
