What factors need to consider when use EM in aquaculture ?

1. Weather: the best condition for EM to take full effect is when water temperature is around 20-30℃, the effects of EM will become poor when water temperature is below 10℃.
2.Oxygen: the decomposition of organics in water requires oxygen, so it is necessary to ensure adequate oxygen in water.
3. Water color: transparency should not be too high, using Super EM（one of Clostridium butyricum’ s product） once every 15-30 days to stabilize and improve water quality, for poor water quality use 1-2 times per week.
4. Alkalinity: EM works better in neutral or alkalescence water.
5. Nutrition: the utilization rate of probiotics on water is C:N:P =100:5:1. If water nutrition is too low, the effect of Super EM （one of Clostridium butyricum’ s product）will be weak.
6. Worms: excessive worms such as rotifers, branch horns etc. will weaken the effect of Super EM （one of Clostridium butyricum’ s product）
7.Chemical: heavy use of pesticide and antibiotics will reduce the effect of Super EM （one of Clostridium butyricum’ s product）, suggest to use EM at least 3 days after chemical products.
